The numbers are in and America has just decided that its favorite Mexican restaurant is … Taco Bell. In the new Harris Poll EquiTrend Study they beat out Chipotle, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Qdoba, Baja Fresh, and Del Taco. Moe’s had been the previous winner in 2016 and 2017 and prior to that it was Chipotle, so Taco Bell is a new top pick for the first time in the 30 years this has survey has been around.
The chains were judged on familiarity, quality and future consideration, but we’re pretty sure those Nacho Fries helped Taco Bell rise to the top. That and the fact they didn’t give anyone food-borne illnesses. Survey director Amir Kanpurwala tells Yahoo! Finance, “Taco Bell’s marketing is ubiquitous, so it wasn’t surprising to me that they came out on top this year.”
