A new study finds that people who are more trusting of strangers live longer lives. People who don't trust others or live in an area with a lot of distrusting people have a increased risk of dying early.
This study reveled that the more trusting people are the more likely you are to socialize and have less stress therefore have better health.
States like Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Missouri, are the most trusting, with 49% of people saying most folks can be trusted. Least trusting States are, Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi and Tennessee, where only 27% of people said most folks can be trusted. I personally find that strange being that people in the South seem to be more friendly and neighborly.
