Kutztown Police Get Overwhelmed By Hundreds Offering To Get Drunk For Test

File this under: very unsurprising. The Kutztown Police Department in Berks County put out a request for volunteers to get drunk for "law and order purposes" (their words) and the response was... predictably enthusiastic. The department wanted three ... just three ... volunteers to drink hard liquor to the point of "inebriation" so that the officers there could then be trained on how to administer field sobriety tests during traffic stops. The call quickly blew up, with hundreds of responses on their Facebook page and the post receiving over 1,000 shares in less than a day. They would not get compensation for it, but at the same time, the alcohol would be free. The post was updated quickly, saying that they found their 3 members, leaving hundreds very, very sad.
