Valerie's Predictions For This Sunday's Oscars!

It's countdown to the Oscars and so on Today's Show Biz Buzz I thought I would give my predictions for the major awards who's going to win on Sunday night?

For Best Supporting Actress?

Amy Adams, “Vice”

Marina de Tavira, “Roma”

Regina King, “If Beale Street Could Talk”

Emma Stone, “The Favourite”

Rachel Weisz, “The Favourite”

I love Emma Stone in The Favourite but.... Regina King will win for playing a loving mother in If Beale Street Could Talk ..she is just a tremendous actress and really deserves this award.

Best Supporting Actor?

Mahershala Ali, “Green Book”

Adam Driver, “BlacKkKlansman”

Sam Elliott, “A Star Is Born”

Richard E. Grant, “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”

Sam Rockwell, “Vice”

Sam Elliott will win. He is great as Bradley Cooper's Brother in A Star is Born, and he's been around for a long time, and I just love him. It's his time.

Lead Actress?

Yalitza Aparicio, “Roma”

Glenn Close, “The Wife”

Olivia Colman, “The Favourite”

Lady Gaga, “A Star Is Born”

Melissa McCarthy, “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”

I think Olivia Colman playing Queen Anne in The Favourite was the best, but Glenn Close will win for The Wife ... she has been nominated seven times... it's her turn, and she is very very good as a wife who has had enough...

Lead Actor?

Christian Bale, “Vice”

Bradley Cooper, “A Star Is Born”

Willem Dafoe, “At Eternity’s Gate”

Rami Malek, “Bohemian Rhapsody”

Viggo Mortensen, “Green Book”

While my vote is for Christian Bale as Dick Cheney in Vice, another unbelievable portrayal for him, it's Rami Malek who playsFreddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody for the win. Rami as Freddie brings the singer back to life..

Best Picture?

I'm hearing it will be Roma...which you can see on Netflix. The film follows the life of a live-in housekeeper of a middle-class family in Mexico City, and has received much praise. But I'm going with Bohemian Rhapsody for the win.
