Bradley Cooper broke hearts when told Ellen Degeneres he said he hadn't spoken to co-star Lady Gaga since their magical Oscar performance of 'Shallow' from their film "A Star Is Born," but also told Ellen he had an idea: he thought maybe he and Gaga should read their hit movie script at the Hollywood Bowl, or a venue like that, and then sing the songs as they get to them. He was only kidding, thankfully. So many fans want them to be, but he and Lady Gaga are not an item. In fact, since awards season ended, Bradley spends every day with his family...Irina, his girlfriend since 2015, and their baby Lea, who was born in 2017. He says fatherhood has changed him in every way.
Now here’s some local Cooper scoop! Philly Chit Chat’s HughEDillon tells me that last month Bradley sat in with the Philadelphia Orchestra to observe how to conduct. He also sat in the back of Verizon Hall at the Kimmel Center unnoticed and in disguise watching the orchestra play to a full audience. Why? It’s because he’s set to direct and star as legendary composer and orchestra director Leonard Bernstein in a Steven Spielberg produced film. Cooper was also granted exclusive music rights from the Bernstein estate and that includes songs from "West Side Story!" It looks like another big and exciting project for the kid from Philadelphia!
