For once — one of those “save that TV show!” campaigns worked! Pop TV announced today that they have saved Netflix’s “One Day At A Time” reboot that was cancelled four months ago after three seasons. There was a lot of controversy over the cancellation of the show, with it apparently being a decent performer for the streaming service.
Pop officially has greenlit a 4th season of the show, ordering 13 episodes to come in 2020. It appears to be the very first example of a show going from streaming to actual cable (as we’ve seen, it’s usually the other way around.)
The first three seasons will stay on Netflix, but Pop is also getting the rights to air them as well.
Just proof that you should never give up when your favorite TV show is cancelled — you never know when it might come back!
