One singer who’s not taking any chances in the Dominican Republic? “Jessie’s Girl” singer Rick Springfield has officially canned his planned Dominican Republic music festival as mysterious tourist deaths have grown.
The event, which was called “Rick Springfield & Friends”, had been set for November and now has been tentiavely rescheduled for next year.
In an announcement about the cancellation, Rick wrote, “In an abundance of caution and for the peace of mind and well-being of my fans, band and crew, the ‘Rick Springfield & Friends’ event in Punta Cana is being rescheduled to take place in 2020. The safety and well-being of our amazing fans, band, and crew will always be the most important consideration in any situation.”
