So we told you a few weeks ago that Toys R Us was officially staging a comeback this year after unceremoniously closing down in 2018 (click below) - and the news gets even better, as one of the first two new Toys R Us stories is opening right near us in NEW JERSEY! Yep, there's only two new ones (for now), and we get to be a part of it!
The company announced today that two new stores would open in November in Houston, Texas and Westfield Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey! Both stores will be about 6,500 square feet (which is a decent size smaller than the previous bigger stores back before they closed, which were about 30,000 square feet.)
It appears that they are still planning on opening more, and that some of the plans may hinge on how these ones perform. They said, "We think that this is going to be scalable, and we think we can grow the business over time."
