Today's announcement of the Dancing with the Stars cast for its upcoming 28th season is causing quite the controversy, as it was announced that Sean Spicer was joining the cast. Many on social media derided ABC for the casting choice, as many said that they'd like to be free of any political figures in the show.
Tom Bergeron, host with Erin Andrews, even chimed in, adding that he had asked executives to stray away from casting any political figures from either side of the political spectrum, but that it was ultimately up to them and what was best for the "future of the franchise."
