'Shark Tank' Star Admits Involvement In Fatal Crash That Left 2 People Dead

US Weekly reports that “Shark Tank” star Kevin O’Leary and his wife, Linda, were involved in a boating accident this past weekend in Canada that ultimately left two people dead.

In a statement to US Weekly on Wednesday, Kevin said, “Late Saturday night I was a passenger in a boat that had a tragic collision with another craft that had no navigation lights on and then fled the scene of the accident. I am fully cooperating with authorities. Out of respect for the families who have posted loved ones and to fully support the ongoing investigation, I feel it is inappropriate to make further comments at this time. My thoughts are with all the families affected.”

Kevin’s rep told TMZ that his wife, Linda, was driving the boat at the time of the accident, when it “crashed into a larger vessel, going over its bow, and striking a male passenger in the head.”

Two of the passengers ultimately died, and 3 others were hospitalized. Kevin’s rep says that Linda passed a DUI test, but there are conflicting reports about the aftermath. Kevin’s rep tells TMZ that the other boat fled after the scene, but the owner of the other boat says the O’Learys were the ones that left.

TMZ, meanwhile newly reports that Kevin also says there is a video that has captured that area of the lake and he wants it enhanced to prove that the other boat’s lights weren’t on. However, sources are saying that the other boat owner insists that their lights WERE on at the time of collision.
