The latest offering from Uber....you can bring your pet along for your ride. Uber will now let you let your driver know you'll be bringing your furry (or scaly?) friend on your trip. The new feature is designed to give pet owner/riders "peace of mind so they know they'll be able to arrive at their destination with their pet, without any interruptions or surprises." Riders just have to select the Uber pet option while booking their ride, and pay $3 to $5 up front for the service. It will be available in 7 cities including Philadelphia starting October 16th. Drivers will be able to opt out of Uber Pet, if they're not into having your pet along for the ride.
