Taylor Swift & Shawn Mendes Come Together On Romantic 'Lover' Remix: Listen

Taylor Swift just released a brand new “Lover” remix featuring Shawn Mendes!

Swift teased the musicians’ “Collaborashawn” on Instagram early Wednesday morning (November 13), and eventually dropped the record hours later. In this new interpretation of the songstress’ ballad, the Canadian crooner takes the lead with a romantic opening verse.

“We can light a bunch of candles and dance around the kitchen, baby/Pictures of when we were young hang on the wall/We’ll sit on the stoop/I’ll sing love songs to you when we’re eighty,” Mendes croons, before he and Swift harmonize, "See I finally got you/Now honey I won’t let you fall.”

“Lover” appears on Swift’s seventh studio album of the same name, which released in August. The record subsequently topped the Billboard 200 chart in September, making Lover her sixth number-one record of her career.

As yet, the “Shake It Off” superstar hasn’t announced an official tour for her latest LP, but has made several live performance appearances to promote its release. Swift’s next live presentation is scheduled for the 2019 American Music Awards, where she will be presented with the Artist of the Decade award.

Additionally, Swift has been billed to perform at the 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour presented by Capital One, kicking off on December 1 in Tampa, Florida, and continues across the US throughout December including Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Washington DC, Chicago, Atlanta, and Miami.
