  • Lorie (Limerick): I am working from home during the day (M-F) and using evenings and weekends to paint my interior home.

  • Steve (Middletown): I'm telecommuting from home. My company, Sargent & Lundy, has provided everyone with computers to work from home. My wife is helping the kids keep up with learning and applying for scholarships. When the girls aren't doing school and scholarships work they are working on their Girl Scout gold awards. After dinner we are doing family game night. The winner of the game get a scratch off lottery and picks the next nights game.

  • Suzanne (Reading): I'm still doing Payroll at my worksite so that our employees will continue to get paid during our school districts shutdown. I'm the only person at my location doing payroll so I can't be anymore distant. My husband cannot go into work so he continues to keep our household going while I'm away during the day. In the evenings we've been taking 2.5 mile walks both to get fresh air and to distress as well as exercise our bodies since our gyms are also closed. Personally, I've been adding positive stories, pictures and quotes to my social media so that people stay inspired to feel gratitude and find some gratitude in each day.

This has actually been the staycation I needed - I've been working 7 days a week since the beginning of the year!

  • Vern (Philadelphia): Research says that music makes you happy. Despite everything happening in the world, I listen to music. I'm teaching myself how to DJ, and I listen to 106.1. The news is so depressing - I try not to listen to it, but music makes the day go by faster.
  • Shaina (Staten Island/Philadelphia): I'm taking care of my nephew so my sister and brother-in-law can work from home. I do exercised with him to get him sitting up and crawling, play music, dance, sit on the porch if the weather is nice, and video chat with family.

  • Kelly (Philadelphia): I work for a trucking company so I we are considered a "life sustaining" business.It's been stressful keeping everything clean and sanitized in the office.But when I go homes, I like to lose myself in my crocheting.It takes my mind off of what's going on, even if it's just for a little while.

  • Dan (West Chester): With Chester County YMCA's closed until 3/30 (at the earliest), I'm forced to walk in East Goshen Park(West Chester/Malvern) whenever weather permits. Aside from that, there's little to except read, watch TV, listen to music, and surf the Internet.

So many are grateful to just see her and have a little chat with her sometimes (while 6ft apart lol), and others are grateful for a treat to give the little ones while they're home.

I am a nurse and just started to work again at an Urgent Care Center for a Dr I worked with in the Emergency Dept. She needed help with testing and answering phones. I'm trying to do little jobs that I have been putting off.

  • Eddie (Cherry Hill): My 5 year old daughter lost her second tooth on Saturday. So we came up with leaving the tooth in a pouch in the mailbox so the Tooth Fairy could follow Social Distancing rules too. She was so excited to find 2 silver dollars in mailbox the next morning!
  • Tracey (Bordentown): I am a nurse, I spend my days in a nursing home. At this point we are getting the non critical cases from the hospitals. My husband is laid off we have not been able to apply for unemployment in NJ systems down. Our health insurance runs out on Friday. God bless us all.
  • Seth (Emerald): I've always wanted to do yoga. I've used the time to start a yoga at home program that I found on YouTube. It's a great way to relieve stress and anxiety.

  • Stacy (Philadelphia): I am sharing my love of scrapbooking with my 18 year old daughter. It's time we are spending together...making gifts for family member when we do get to see them while we are cleaning up those photos that are loosely stored in a box.

I have so much respect for everyone. We have mini movie nights, buffet style dinners, we will have our own personal easter dinner and egg hunt. I want it to be as normal as I can until we can get back to normal.

They think it is play, but it is learning skills that make the difference between a life well lived and possibly disaster.

  • Chemile (Upper Darby PA): I am completely isolated from family and friends who are in New York. I'm spending my time being proactive trying to find assistance for my bills for food. I live alone and I'm scared. I was laid off in January 2020 and found a new job in April but I can't go because of the coronavirus and I'm trying to stay healthy. so I'm on my laptop every day trying to find help while listening to the breeze.
  • Donna (Quakertown): We are spending quality time bonding with each other by cooking together, watching movies together, playing lots of games together and doing lots of talking.

Everyday we learn and practice cooking, baking, laundry, ironing, budget planning, check writing, tie tying, or any number of life essential lessons that you never have time to share during the hustle and bustle of pre-covid life.

  • Jack (Ardmore): Board games I have had in storage for over thirty years are again up & running ! Great time passer and stimulates the mind ! Also to spring cleaning of stored attic & basement items that are being revived by donating them to neighbors and curbside pickup.
  • Catherine (Pipersville): My 12 year old daughter and I have been baking a ton of new things and we have been making tick-tock videos together. Every morning and evening our family does a 2 mile walk with the dog.I have become pretty good at playing Fortnite since my daughter and I play together every day.
  • Jackie (Abington): I am spending my days working at Giant but I am helping my friends with social distancing by being there Giant dealer. I pick up items they need when I am working.
  • Joyce (Philadelphia): Doing so much needed spring cleaning along with enjoying the music from 106.1 the breeze. Catching up with family and friends.
  • Nancy (Danielsville): Unfortunately, I am one of the essential people! I would catch up on reading if I were.
  • Antoinette (Villas): I'm limiting watching the news. Organizing all of the photographs I have. Embroidering a tablecloth I started years ago.
  • DJ (Norristown): Get up. Eat breakfast. Do exercises I can do @ home & inside.Work on a crossword puzzle.Work on my computer & paperwork around my house. I actually have been able to do something's on my to do list. In between I have lunch & dinner. Then watch TV @ night.
  • Christina: We are finally getting things done that we've had on our list to do around the house like painting certain rooms and hanging up pictures that we've had laying around for almost a year!

  • Kelly (Philadelphia): We all started getting really bored so we randomly started Playing basketball on our daughters mini basketball hoop inside the house with our dog, like the movie Air Bud. I have never seen my 2 year old laugh so hard. We were belly laughing.
  • Ron (Philadelphia): Getting long needed straightening out things that I have accumulated over the years and sorting them out to all be together so I can find what I am looking for when I need them.
  • Patrick (Drexel Hill): I am cooking and cleaning and relaxing trying to be safe and pray to God the coronavirus goes away

  • Kelly (Pelham): Thankfully, I am working from home! I also have 2 teenage children that are schooling from home. So in my free time, I am a home school teacher!! I binge watch shows on Netflix and listen to the radio to fill in gaps :)

  • Janet (Allentown): I drive for DoorDash delivering food. Listening to The Breeze and singing at the tops of my lungs makes this job even more enjoyable.

  • Holly (Dover): Besides telecommuting for 10 hours/day, I'm trying out new keto & gluten recipes. On the weekends I'm finally cleaning out my garage to de clutter!
  • Crystal (Philadelphia): This is our reset button to really appreciate life and family. We are doing some major organizing and cleaning in the house. We are cooking fun meals, dancing and laughing a lot in which we all need at this time.

  • Cindy (Newark): One major thing I've been focused on is revamping my curriculum to help students reflect on important things in their lives. Rather than us sticking to regular curriculum, we are taking a step back. We are working on a passion project. This is a great way for students to share who they are with me. I've also been reading a lot of young adult novels. Reading is a great way to bring peace to staying at home.
  • JoAnn (Burlington): My husband and i are hunkered in together! We are lucky to have each other. Everyday we read, do puzzles etc. But come 7:00 each night we watch a movie until bedtime. These things help us get through the days!
  • Isaac (Bristol): We do themed dinners everyday, like dressing up as your least or most favorite family member, Disney characters, etc. !!
  • Christine (Delran): I have set up my distance learning classroom in my kitchen. I look forward to seeing my students check in for lessons via a google meet each morning. I have a bag of clothes for charity and have worked in the garden.

  • Tara (Philadelphia): I am spending my day at home by spending time with my children and trying to keep the house as organized as I can its hard when you have little ones running around all day. I am so used to be at work its hard just sitting home all day.
  • Stacey (Linfield): I've been making masks for my nearby hospital ER, for the Philadelphia Police Department and now for the elderly at nursing homes around here as well. All while making sure my 3 children have been doing their online schooling, cleaning the house and cooking dinner every night so we can eat together as a family.
  • Ani (Philadelphia): I started to walk 1000 step every hour. I walk from the living room to the kitchen until I reach 1000 steps. This way, by the time its time to go to sleep, I have walked between 14,000 to 20,000 steps. It curbs my appetite and it makes me feel good.
  • Katie (Horsham): I'm doing a lot of cooking and baking for my family. Trying new recipes, being creative in the kitchen keeps me busy
  • Sharon (Collegeville): Listening to music on 106.1 while I tend to my pet-family, do laundry, organize things, go through emails finally,& whatever I can inside and outside of this house.. thanx for helping me keep my pace to get s**ff done.

  • Ebony (Philadelphia): I am in school for baking and pastry so I am spending my time baking cakes, bread and making natural jam with my kids. We are playing a lot of board games and exercising. Never knew there were so many different ways to play uno until now
  • Sue (Lansdale): As a special ed assistant, I'm on the computer helping students with their schoolwork.I also keep in touch with co-workers/friends using Teams.

  • Chris (Morrisville): I have been keeping busy doing projects around the house but most importantly, I have been 3D printing face mask straps. The straps provide ear relief to essential workers. I have given out more than 200 of the straps. If anyone else has a 3D printer, they can find the file on thingiverse called face mask strap remix.
  • Jean (Philadelphia): Working, I am an essential employee ! Working in the office 1 week and working at home the next week. Everyone in the office was split up so half working at home and half working in the office !
  • Lori (Fort Washington): Lots of walks with the dog-try to get as much fresh air as possible.

  • Rose Marie (Philadelphia): I am going to work, I am an essential employee. I work in a doctor office and once a week I have to go downtown to another office and help them. On the weekends, I take walks around the park that is across the street from me. I also drove downtown and took pictures of the art museum, City Hall. and just spend the day down town while it is not busy. What I miss the most is seeing my grandson. I use to get him every Thursday. But now I can't see him. On Easter I went to his house 7:00 in the morning and chalked bunny prints outside his house, and hid Easter eggs. My daughter video it for me. And of course we facetime all the time. I can't wait till this virus is over. thank you and god bless you and your family.
