The Most Popular Lipstick Blogger in China..Is A Guy!

China has popular influencers, too, and it turns out Austin Li Jiaqi, a 26-year-old man from Central China's Hunan Province, gained fame on Chinese social media in 2017 after he managed to try 380 lipsticks in a two-hour livestream show on Taobao.

The young beauty blogger has 800,000 followers on Sina Weibo, and he's called "Iron Lip." Check out the article from Global Times by clicking HERE and seeing this dude with all his lipsticks.

Li said on a live streamed show: "The first thing a man sees in you is the color of your lipstick, not your bag." Yes, I think I agree, Li.

Last weekend, Li impressed Chinese people in a live streamed lipstick sale on something called Singles' Day, popular in China, when he sold 1,000 lipsticks. The guy he was competing against only sold 10. And the're guys! Not that there's anything wrong with that. And get this: China Newsweek magazine said Li once sold 15,000 lipsticks in 15 minutes.

Li also set a Guinness World Record on September 6 by successfully putting on lipstick on four people in 30 seconds. This guy is unbelievable!

Li, who reportedly earns more than 10 million yuan ($1.4 million) a month, has a course called "Taobao Writing and Communication" at Jiangsu Normal University to teach students about new media practices. No wonder they call him "Iron Lip".

It's Communist China, but sounds just like good ol' American capitalism to me. Go Li!
