Leah Remini Calls Tom Cruise a "Poster Boy" for Scientology

Leah Remini, who left Scientology with bad blood a few years back and is now the religion's biggest critic, praised actress Thandie Newton after she spoke out about being scared of Cruise while filming “Mission: Impossible 2.”

Leah said: “That takes huge balls to do what she did, and if more people speak out in that way, and be brave enough to do so, I think we might get somewhere." She has a podcast coming up titled “Scientology: Fair Game.”

Remini, who really has made an effort to get "somewhere" as she speaks out against the religion, also says, “Tom has gotten away with being this ‘nice guy,’ because that’s what Scientology policy says....create good PR in the world and make those ‘good actions’ known. But if you actually look at his actions, they’re not consistent.”

Leah grew up in Scientology and left in 2013 after 30 years! She says she got in trouble when she asked why Cruise was the “poster child” for the church.

Here's more from Remini about the 58 year old Cruise: “He can’t keep a f–kin’ marriage together, he’s jumping on couches, he’s acting like he knows anything about postpartum. I learned pretty quickly that that’s not something you should be doing, because Tom Cruise is considered a messiah in Scientology.” It's not surprising that Scientology has done their best to fight back against Remini, saying "she needs to move on with her life instead of pathetically exploiting her former religion." Wow.
