Ellen DeGeneres Speaks Out Amid Workplace Misconduct Allegations

With the bombshell this week that her how was being investigated for alleged workplace misconduct, Ellen DeGeneres is finally speaking out.

The original allegations included former employees’ anonymous accusations of racism, intimidation, unjust termination, and an overall toxic work culture, perpetuated by the show’s top producers. WarnerMedia is now investigating the claims.

With the accusations now public, Ellen wrote a letter to her crew addressing the situation. In the letter, DeGeneres takes responsibility, since the show bears her name, and insists that there will be steps taken to “correct the issues” going forward. There are also rumors that her executive producer, Ed Galvin, one of 3 EPs on the show, will be soon let go.

She added, “As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve bot been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done. Clearly some didn’t. That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again.”
