Ellen DeGeneres Allegedly Wants To End Her Talk Show

Is Ellen DeGeneres ready to end her talk show? Depends if you believe the NY Post or not - but the rumors ARE swirling after the show has been in the news very negatively over the past two weeks, due to numerous allegations of a “toxic” workplace culture at the show.

The New York Post is reporting that “anonymous insiders” at Telepictures are saying that the host is “ready to hang up her microphone” in the wake of the recent allegations. The source adds that Ellen is “telling executives at Telepictures and Warner Bros. that she has had enough and wants to walk away from the show.”

Reps for Ellen and the show did not respond for comment. This culminates a week in which multiple allegations of sexism, racism, and other charges were lobbed at the show. On Thursday, Ellen addressed the allegations, saying she was sorry and suggesting that unspecified changes would be made.

It was also revealed on Thursday that dozens of former staff members from the show have also come forward with allegations of sexual misconduct, harassment, and assault.

No official word on what the future holds for the show currently after the tumultuous past few weeks, but it would not come as a surprise if Ellen decided to end it for good.
