More movement in the daytime TV world! Just about a week after it was announced that Sara Haines was returning to ABC's "The View" for its upcoming season, CBS has announced that Marie Osmond is leaving "The Talk" after only one season.
Deadline reports that she "is currently working on other projects, including a new show with ViacomCBS."
In a statement, CBS said: “Marie is a consummate professional, and we thank her for sharing her personal experiences, insight, as well as incredible talents, with our audience. We will miss her humor, kindness and good nature, and wish her much success in her future endeavors.”
Marie originally took the spot last year, replacing Sara Gilbert. She had guest hosted the show more than 40 times previously. There has not been a new co-host named yet, but it does appear they will be replacing her with someone else.
