This is really sad news - PhillyVoice reports that one of the best views in all of Center City, One Liberty Place's 57th Floor, is suspending operations "until further notice" as a result of the pandemic.
One Liberty Observation Deck released a statement on Tuesday confirming the news, adding, "The drastic decrease of day trippers, group tour bookings, and overseas tourists due to the COVID-19 pandemic led us to this difficult decision."
The closure may not be permanent, and a spokesperson told PhillyVoice they hope there is better news in the future. The observation deck has been open since 2015, and is nearly 900 feet above street level.
