Billie Lourd & Fiancé Welcome Son Named After Late Mother Carrie Fisher

Billie Lourd is a new mom!

The Scream Queens actress surprised fans after announcing the birth of her and fiance Austen Rydell’s first child, a son named Kingston. Breaking the news on Instagram last night (September 24), the 28-year-old posted the very first photo of her newborn’s tiny little feet along with his full name. “👑💙👑Introducing: 💙👑💙 Kingston Fisher Lourd Rydell💙👑💙,” she captioned the image.

The new parents’ name for their baby boy is in honor of the Star Wars actress’ late mother, Carrie Fisher, who passed away in December 2016. Billie’s uncle, Todd Fisher, spoke exclusively with E! News about the origins of Kingston’s name.

"I was very touched Billie chose to honor her mother by naming her son Kingston Fisher,” Todd told the outlet. “It was very unexpected. Billie has been known as Billie Lourd her whole life. It is a very loving thing to give that homage back to Carrie."

Plenty of Billie's costars sent the new couple congratulatory messages following the exciting announcement.

"Congratulations to #BillieLourd & #AustenRydell on the arrival of their firstborn child: Kingston Fisher Lord Rydell!!!" commented Mark Hamil, who portrays Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movie franchise. "I can't think of another baby with both ‘KING’ AND ‘LORD’ in their name. Nice."

“Screaming!!! Love you guys so much ♥️” wrote Scream Queens co-star Emma Roberts, who is also expecting a child of her own with Garrett Hedlund.

Billie and Rydell’s baby news comes after the pair celebrated their engagement in June.

Congratulations to the new parents!
