14 years after declaring bankruptcy and closing all of its stores in the U.S., Tower Records has officially made a comeback!
Unfortunately, there won't be any standalone stores, but it *has* returned as a new online music retailer! The new website, which just launched last week, has online events, a merch section, and tons of music to buy, including vinyls, cassettes, and CDs.
Danny Zeijdel, Tower Records' new CEO, said the chain’s return “has been met with tremendous success, feedback. A lot of people are so happy taking pictures of when they receive an order from Tower Records, posting it on Instagram.”
While the company no longer has any standalone stores, they still operate some in Europe.
The new website can be found right here!
