A Winter Storm Watch has officially been posted from Wednesday morning thru Thursday morning for counties bordering I-95 and all areas north and west, according to 6ABC! Our first official substantial snow fall of the season is on the horizon!
6ABC reports that starting on Wednesday late morning/early afternoon, there will likely be significant snow to the region, with “the heaviest in northern and western suburbs where 6-10 inches and perhaps a foot or more could fall in the Lehigh Valley.”
Philly could get 6 inches of snow and sleet, with New Jersey and Delaware near the Delaware River getting 3-6 inches.
They stress that these are preliminary numbers and things could change, especially near I-95, with a “possible shift in the rain/snow line as the storm passes.”
The snow will likely end by dawn on Thursday or shortly afterwards.
