They thought it was a way to celebrate Valentine's Day. A young Ukrainian couple, obviously in love, has decided to put that true love to the test by linking their hands together with a thick iron chain for three months.
Talk about official! Alexander and Viktoria traveled to Kiev to have their hands chained and sealed together by a representative of the country's national register of records.
They will be next to each every moment, for the next three months, and that's their goal. That includes sleeping, bathing and even going to the bathroom together. Ew. Alexander said, "We are going for a record." If they decide to call it quits early, they'll need someone to cut the chain off with a special cutting tool.
Funny but necessary: A guy in Ukraine's national register of records said he checked whether Alexander and Viktoria were "sane" before agreeing to lock them together in this romantic experiment.
Of course they'll document this on social media. They are stilled chained together and think they can last three months, but not many share their enthusiasm. In fact, people are taking bets about it on social media! Locked up in love.....
