August 17th: Festival of India

  • India’s Independence Day celebrations take place during the Festival of India at Penn's Landing, presented by the Council of Indian Organizations in Greater Philadelphia and the PECO Multicultural Series. Attendees enjoy a daylong showcase of Indian culture, including dance, art, music and more. 12pm noon to 7:00pm at Great Plaza at Penn's Landing.

August 18th: Caribbean Festival

  • The sounds and flavors of the islands entice thousands of people each year to the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing for the annual Caribbean Festival. Part of the PECO Multicultural Series, the festival — now in its 33rd year — includes a marketplace of Caribbean souvenirs and crafts as well as plenty of food options and performances. 12:00pm noon - 8:00pm at Great Plaza at Penn's Landing.

Opening of the Franklin Square Fountain Show – TBD

  • One of Philadelphia’s five original public squares, Franklin Square is now home to Philly-themed mini-golf, a carousel, playgrounds and, come summer 2019, a spectacular new fountain show.
