"Wheel of Fortune" drama - host Pat Sajak is being called out by some for appearing to mock a contestant's speech impediment on Monday night's episode of the hit game show.
It all went down during the episode's player introductions, when contestant Chris Brimble spoke with a noticeable lisp while he talked about his job as a tech salesman. Sajak decided to mimic the lisp and say "I thee" instead of just saying "I see."
Viewers were not too pleased on social media, with some even replying to a tweet Sajak sent last week that was previously unrelated, but that read, “How nice for those who have lived such exemplary lives that they can express glee when others have their lives ruined by a mistake, real or perceived.”
Many viewers who have, or know someone with speech impediments, echoed the sentiment on Twitter and other social media platforms.
This is not the first time Sajak has landed in hot water recently on the show. Back in December, Sajak was criticized for appearing to snap at an overexcited player who had interrupted him. That had also followed an incident where he called a contestant "ungrateful."
