That didn’t take long! The CW announced earlier this week that new drama “Superman & Lois” has been renewed for a second season — after only one episode had aired!
The newest take on the DC character premiered last Tuesday with 1.7 million viewers, giving the network its best night of primetime in over two years. After 3 days of DVR viewing were added in, it added another million viewers and nearly doubled its same-day viewership among adults 18-34.
All of that was good enough for the network, which renewed the drama for season 2 before this Tuesday’s episode even aired.
Mark Pedowitz, chairman and CEO of The CW network, said: “The phenomenal multiplatform debut of Superman & Lois, which delivered for us in a big way on both a linear and streaming basis, is a testament to the creativity, hard work and dedication of the talented people who worked tirelessly in front of and behind the camera, especially in this challenging environment.”
