This is some amazing news for fans of NBC's Manifest (like myself) - the show was cancelled last month, much to the chagrin of many of its die-hard fans, and it failed to get a pick-up from high profile streaming outlets like Netflix.
However, one month later, things have seemed to change - a LOT!
Deadline reports that NBC is now back in conversations with the show's studio, Warner Bros. TV, about a possible a renewal. Not just that, but Netflix is also back in the game, and resuming talks themselves with the studio about a possible 4th season.
The news isn't surprising, as the show became available on Netflix about a month ago, and has consistently ranked in the streamer's "Daily Top 10" list. Not only that, but it now appears NBC has more budget to work with, after a planned 5th season of Good Girls fell thru, and the upcoming Law & Order: For The Defense spinoff announced it was not going forward anymore. That frees up money, and also two holes on its schedule as well.
Manifest creator Jeff Rake has told fans since the cancellation to keep the faith - and it looks like the fans pushing that #SaveManifest hashtag on social media may have also had a lot to do with it!
